Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Fontes specializes in joint replacement and revision, pediatrics and sports medicine. He is the first surgeon in Las Vegas to perform a direct anterior hip replacement and one of the first to perform an arthroscopic rotator cuff repair.
Dr. Fontes is fellowship trained from the Charité Campus in Berlin, Germany, Balgrist University Hospital in Zurich, Switzerland and Lecco Hospital in Italy. He is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
After earning his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Dr. Fontes completed his residency at the University of California San Francisco.
