Dr. LaPrade earned his medical degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago and his residency at Michigan State University’s Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies. He also completed a fellowship at the Hughston Sports Medicine Clinic in Columbus, Ga.
Dr. LaPrade has expertise in treating posterolateral knee injuries, PCL tears, revision ACL reconstructions, meniscal transplants, MCL injuries, knee osteotomies, fresh osteoarticular allografts, articular cartilage resurfacing procedures and other revision injuries.
In 2013, Dr. LaPrade was awarded the OREF Clinical Research Award for his research on posterolateral knee injury treatments. He has also published more than 200 peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts and 75 book chapters.
