With expertise in knee and shoulder conditions, Dr. Hinton serves as the medical director of MedStar Sports Medicine and director of the MedStar Sports Medicine fellowship program.
Dr. Hinton specializes in anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and revision surgery, and he has a special interest in pediatric and adolescent sports medicine.
In 2017, Dr. Hinton was named a “Top Doc” for orthopedic sports medicine by Baltimore Magazine. He has previously served as a team physician for the Baltimore Ravens and the Women’s U.S. National Lacrosse Team.
Dr. Hinton is a member of the Maryland Board of Physicians Athletic Trainers Oversight Committee and American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
After earning his medical degree from Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Dr. Hinton completed a residency and fellowship training in sports medicine at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital.
