A Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. native, Dr. Metz focuses on adult and pediatric hand disorders, such as fractures, nerve disorders, arthritis and Dupuytren’s disease. He is also interested in endoscopic nerve decompression and arthroscopic elbow, wrist and hand surgery.
Dr. Metz’s writing on pediatric finger injuries and adult tendon transfers has been published in orthopedic textbooks.
His professional associations include the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Society for Surgery of the Hand and American Medical Association.
Dr. Metz earned his medical degree and completed a residency at Indianapolis-based Indiana University School of Medicine. He underwent fellowship training at UPMC-Hamot in Erie, Pa.
