Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Amendola was the 45th president of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. He has additional board certification in sports medicine.
Dr. Amendola has published more than 200 peer reviewed articles throughout his career. He specializes in arthroscopic surgery. Twenty-three percent of his annual procedures are arthroscopic knee surgeries.
After earning his medical degree from Schulich School of Medicine, Dr. Amendola completed his residency at Western University, both in Ontario, Canada. He underwent fellowship training at Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Center in London, Ontario; Akron (Ohio) City Hospital and Ospedale Borgo Roma in Verona,
Italy.
