Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Michelle Carlson of Hospital for Special Surgery in New York

Michelle Carlson, MD, is an associate attending orthopedic surgeon at Hospital for Special Surgery and New York-Presbyterian Hospital, as well as an associate professor at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York.

Dr. Carlson has won several awards throughout her medical career including the Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society/Zimmer Research Grant, Lewis Clark Wagner Research Award, T. Campbell Thompson Prize and Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation.

 

Dr. Carlson received her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College. She completed her residency and fellowship in upper extremity and microvascular surgery at HSS.
