Dr. O’Brien’s clinical interests include shoulder and elbow surgery, shoulder and elbow reconstruction, rotator cuff disease, ligament reconstruction of the knee and sports medicine. He provides care for both children and adults at the Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine in New Orleans.
Dr. O’Brien earned his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. He also completed a fellowship in shoulder and elbow reconstruction at the Rothman Institute in Philadelphia.
