Matthew Matava, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Washington University in St. Louis.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Matava is an orthopedic surgery and physical therapy professor as well as chief of sports medicine at Washington University in St. Louis. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery.

 

His work is published in the American Journal of Sports Medicine, Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Journal of Knee Surgery.

 

After earning his medical degree from University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, Dr. Matava completed his residency at Atlanta-based Emory University. He is fellowship trained from the Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center.
