Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Mark Duffield of OrthoAtlanta

Mark S. Duffield, DO, practices with OrthoAtlanta. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Osteopathic Association and Cobb Medical Society. His hospital affiliations include Wellstar Douglas Hospital in Douglasville, Ga., and WellStar Cobb Hospital in Austell, Ga.

Dr. Duffield focuses on hip, knee and shoulder arthroscopy, sports medicine, minimally invasive joint replacement surgery and fracture care. He is board-certified and serves as a team physician for West Georgia Technical College in LaGrange as well as local area high schools. During his fellowship training, Dr. Duffield was an assistant team physician for the Tampa Bay Lightning and New York Yankees.

 

Dr. Duffield earned his medical degree at Kirksville (Mo.) College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at University of South Florida/Tampa General Hospital. He has also completed a sports medicine fellowship at Genesys Regional Medical Center/Michigan State University in Flint as well as the AO Trauma fellowship in Switzerland.
