Dr. Karol is also affiliated with Children’s Health Medical Center Dallas and Dallas-based UT Southwestern Medical Center, where she is an orthopedic surgery professor.
With expertise in limb lengthening and reconstruction, Dr. Karol serves as assistant chief of staff and medical director of the Movement Science Laboratory and performance improvement department at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
Dr. Karol also specializes in clubfoot and other foot disorders, pediatric hip conditions, developmental hip dysplasia and scoliosis and spine conditions.
A former Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America president, Dr. Karol is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society of North America, Pediatric Society of Greater Dallas and International Pediatric Orthopaedic Think Tank.
After earning her medical degree from Ann Arbor-based University of Michigan Medical School, Dr. Karol completed her residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit and a pediatric orthopedic and scoliosis fellowship at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital.
