Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Kristy Weber of Penn Medicine

Kristy Weber, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at the Philadelphia-based Penn Medicine. She also serves as the health system’s chief of orthopedics and oncology.

Dr. Weber serves as the director of the Sarcoma Program at the Abramson Cancer Center in Philadelphia. She is also a professor and vice chair of faculty affairs at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

 

Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Weber specializes in bone biopsy, hand tumors, limb salvage surgery, muscle biopsy and pathologic fractures.

 

After earning her medical degree from John Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Dr. Weber completed her residency at the Iowa City-based University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. Weber underwent fellowship training from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
