Dr. Watson has special interests in joint replacement, reconstructive surgery, sports medicine, direct anterior total hip replacement and arthroscopic surgery.
He has successfully performed hundreds of joint replacements and arthroscopic surgeries using innovative techniques as well as total knee replacements using patient-specific instruments.
Dr. Watson has presented his research at meetings and conferences and has published it in Journal of Surgical Oncology.
After obtaining his medical degree at Tulane University in New Orleans, Dr. Watson completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he was selected as administrative chief resident for orthopedic surgery.
