Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Kevin Anbari of OAA Orthopaedic Specialists

Kevin K. Anbari, MD, MBA, is an orthopedic surgeon practicing at OAA Orthopaedic Specialists, based in Allentown, Pa. He also serves as co-medical director of joint replacement at the Lehigh Valley Health Network-Tilghman campus in Allentown. He focuses on hip and knee replacements, and he has performed more than 2,000 of those procedures.

Dr. Anbari has a professional interest in custom-fit knee replacement, partial knee replacement and different types of joint replacements including complex revision surgery. Since 2011, he has preformed over 550 anterior hip procedures. Dr. Anbari is a fellow of the American Academy of Hip and Knee Surgeons and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is also active in the design and development of orthopedic instrumentation and implants. He maintains relationships with implant companies such as Stryker and Arthrex.

 

Dr. Anbari earned his medical degree from University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, also in Philadelphia. He then completed a fellowship at the Anderson Clinic in Alexandria, Va.
