Dr. Burkhart has more than two decades of medical experience. He performed a total knee replacement surgery at Battle Creek-based Brookside Surgery Center in 2014, becoming the first in Michigan to complete the
procedure.
Influenced early on by his physician father, Dr. Burkhardt earned his medical degree from Kansas City (Mo.) University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at Michigan State University’s Garden
City Hospital Campus in Garden City, Mich., and completed a fellowship at The Florida Knee and Orthopedic Centers at the University of South Florida in Palm Harbor, Fla.
