Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. John Fernandez of Midwest Orthopaedic at Rush

Board-certified in orthopedic surgery, John F. Fernandez, MD, practices at Chicago-based Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush, and serves as an assistant professor at Rush University Medical Center, also in Chicago. Dr. Fernandez’s clinical interests include hand trauma and microsurgery. He focuses on hand surgery, wrist surgery, elbow surgery and microsurgery.

After earning his medical degree from Northeastern College of Medicine in Rootstown, Ohio, Dr. Fernandez completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

 

Dr. Fernandez underwent his hand and microvascular surgery fellowship at Indianapolis-based Indiana Hand Center.
