Dr. Dietz designs surgical instruments for endoscopic spine surgery and has been awarded patents for many of his devices.
Many of Dr. Dietz’s articles have been published in medical journals and he presents at numerous national conferences and meetings for orthopedic surgeons. As a former U.S. Army orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Dietz remains active in the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is also active in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society and Scoliosis Research Society. In addition, Dietz serves on the OrthoIndy board of directors and previously served as chairman of the OrthoIndy hospital board.
After graduating from Durham, N.C.-based Duke University School of Medicine, Dr. Dietz completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Tacoma, Wash.-based Madigan Army Medical Center and a spine surgery fellowship at Swedish Hospital Medical Center in Seattle.
