Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Jennifer Moriatis Wolf of University of Chicago Medicine

Jennifer Moriatis Wolf, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at the University of Chicago Medicine. Her expertise includes surgical and non-surgical treatment of bone, nerve, tendon and ligament injuries caused by trauma or overuse.

Dr. Wolf’s interests include tennis elbow and atypical peripheral nerve problems, as well as upper extremity tumor removal. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Wolf conducts research with a focus on the treatment of arthritis in the base of the thumb.

 

Dr. Wolf serves on the governing council of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and is deputy editor in chief of the Journal of Hand Surgery.

 

After earning her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Dr. Wolf completed her internship and residency at Providence-based Rhode Island Hospital. Dr. Wolf is also fellowship trained from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
