Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. James Bicos of Michigan Orthopaedic Surgeons

James Bicos, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Michigan Orthopaedic Surgeons in Southfield.

Dr. Bicos is also affiliated with Bingham Falls, Mich.-based Performance Orthopedics and Beaumont Health in Southfield.

With expertise in sports medicine, Dr. Bicos serves as director of Beaumont Health’s sports medicine fellowship program. He is an assistant orthopedic surgery professor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in Auburn Heights, Mich.

Dr. Bico’s additional specialties include shoulder and elbow surgery as well as anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.

After earning his medical degree from and completing his residency at Chicago-based Rush University Medical Center, Dr. Bicos underwent sports medicine fellowship training at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington.
