At UPMC, Dr. Fu created the sports medicine fellowship program. He is the editor of 26 orthopedic textbooks and author of 76 book chapters. He has also contributed to more than 215 international peer-reviewed research publications.
Dr. Fu is a past president of the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society and is involved in 55 other professional and academic medical organizations. He previously served as co-chairman of the Pittsburgh Local Organization Committee.
Dr. Fu earned his medical degree, completed his residency and underwent fellowship training at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
