Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Erik Dorf of Vail Summit Orthopaedics

Erik Dorf, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Vail (Colo.) Summit Orthopaedics who specializes in treating elbow, hand, orthopedic trauma, shoulder, sports medicine and wrist conditions.

Dr. Dorf is an active member of the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Physician Pool and is board certified by the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has served as visiting assistant professor at London, Ontario-based Western University and Charlottesville-based University of Virginia and his work has been widely published throughout his career.

 

Dr. Dorf obtained his medical degree at Denver-based University of Colorado School of Medicine before completing an orthopedic surgery residency at University of Virginia Health System and a hand and upper extremity fellowship at Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Wake Forest University.
