Dr. Ochiai specializes in injuries to the upper and lower extremities, including hip labral tears, gluteus medium and minimums tears, ACL reconstruction and arthroscopic surgery, among others.
Having previously served as president of Virginia Orthopaedic Society, Dr. Ochiai is also a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the International Society for Hip Arthroscopy and American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
After earning his medical degree from Cleveland-based Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Dr. Ochiai completed a residency at Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center and underwent fellowship training in sports medicine at Nirschl Orthopaedic Center as well as arthroscopic surgery at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
