Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. David Fisher of OrthoIndy

David Fisher, MD, practices at Indianapolis-based OrthoIndy. He is the current director of the Total Joint Center of Excellence at OrthoIndy Hospital in Indianapolis and president of the Orthopaedic Research Foundation. He is a past president of OrthoIndy, and he is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Fisher focuses on total joint replacements, including hip and knee procedures. He has had numerous articles published in professional journals, presented at national and international medical associations and participated in research projects and FDA trials.

 

Dr. Fisher earned his medical degree from Indiana University in Indianapolis, where he also completed his orthopedic surgery residency. He then completed a one-year fellowship in joint implant surgery at St. Anthony Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
