Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Charles A. Popkin of Columbia Orthopedics

Charles A. Popkin, MD, specializes in arthroscopic and open treatment of the knee, shoulder, elbow, ankle, hip and general pediatric orthopedics and fracture care. Dr. Popkin is also an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Columbia University Medical Center and an assistant attending physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

Dr. Popkin received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans before completing his internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.

 

He then completed a sports medicine fellowship at Minnesota Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Institute in Edina, and a pediatric orthopedic fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.
