Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Brian Waterman of Wake Forest Baptist Health

Brian Waterman, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, N.C.

In addition, Dr. Waterman serves as an associate professor and assistant director of the orthopedic sports medicine fellowship program at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C.

 

Dr. Waterman’s clinical interests include sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, complex knee, shoulder and elbow conditions, cartilage restoration and biologics. He has contributed to more than 100 peer reviews publications and serves on the Arthroscopy Journal and American Journal of Orthopedics editorial

boards.

 

Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Waterman is member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.

 

After earning his medical degree from Norfolk-based Eastern Virginia Medical School, Dr. Waterman completed his residency at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. Dr. Waterman is also fellowship trained from Chicago-based Rush University Medical Center.
