Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Amer Mirza of Go To Ortho

Amer Mirza, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Lake Oswego, Ore.-based Go To Ortho.

Dr. Mirza co-founded Go To Ortho in 2017. He serves as the Oregon Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons’ vice president.

Dr. Mirza was previously an assistant professor in the orthopedics department and orthopedic trauma co-director at Portland-based Oregon Health & Science University.

He has received numerous awards, including the 2012 OHSU Faculty Mentorship Award, 2010 Leo Lucas Faculty Teaching Award, 2006 Morris Hughes Award and 2006 Resident Research Award. Portland Monthly recognized Dr. Mirza as a “Top Doctor” five times in the last six years.

After graduating from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Dr. Mirza attended Oregon Health & Science University for medical school and residency training. He completed fellowship training at Seattle-based Harborview Medical Center and Columbus, Ohio-based Joint Implant Surgeons.
