Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Alexandra Schwartz of UC San Diego Medical Center

Alexandra Schwartz, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at the UC San Diego Medical Center.

Dr. Schwartz also serves as chief of orthopedic trauma and an orthopedic surgery professor at UC San Diego Medical Center. She is one of two traumatologists at the hospital.

 

Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Schwartz specializes in clavicle and pelvic fractures, nonunions, compartment syndrome and cartilage studies.

 

After earning her medical degree from the UCLA School of Medicine, Dr. Schwartz completed her residency at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Torrance. Dr. Schwartz is also fellowship trained from Seattle-based Harborview Medical Center.
