Aaron Chamberlain, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon and senior medical director of the musculoskeletal clinical program at Intermountain Health in Salt Lake City.
He has been with Intermountain as a shoulder and elbow surgeon since February 2023 and took over the director role in November of that year.
He specializes in leading edge surgical management of shoulder and elbow problems, as well as innovative arthroscopic and open reconstructive surgical techniques.
Dr. Chamberlain connected with Becker’s during a 2023 conference to discuss topics regarding ASC success.
The takeaways included the fact that value-based care poses challenges for independent surgery centers to measure value, robotic technology is an emerging technology in the ASC setting that could help with certain procedures, and independent ASCs have opportunities to work with insurance companies to develop pathways with patients and lower costs.
Dr. Chamberlain is speaking at Becker’s 22nd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, set for June 19-21 at the Swissotel Chicago.
