Orthopedic surgeon, practice leader among 7 appointed to Florida board of athletic training

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis appointed seven people, including an orthopedic surgeon and practice leader, to the state’s Board of Athletic Training on Dec. 20.

Kari Riddle is a physician practice supervisor at the Miami Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute, according to a news release. Randy Schwartzberg, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Orlando Orthopaedic Center.

Other appointees are Gerald Stevens, Billy McDougal, Frank Walters, James Hudson and Terry Lynn Roberts.

Their appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
