Firas Kawtharani, MD, is now offering monthly clinic appointments at the Elkhart, Kan.-based Morton County Medical Clinic, kscbnews.net reports.

Here are three things to know:

1. Dr. Kawtharani is an orthopedic surgeon at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kan.

2. He received his medical degree at the American University of Beirut in Beirut, Lebanon and underwent sports medicine fellowship training at the Cincinnati Medicine and Orthopaedic Center. He also completed orthopedic trauma fellowship training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

3. Dr. Kawtharani is offering appointments at the clinic as part of Southwest Medical Center’s outreach services.
