Dr. Michaels joined MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital in Leonardtown, Md., in 2011 as vice president of medical affairs and took on the additional role as vice president of medical affairs at MedStar Southern Maryland from 2012 to 2014. In 2015 he was promoted to COO and chief medical officer at MedStar St. Mary’s.
Before joining MedStar Health, he worked as an orthopedic surgeon in Maryland’s Prince George’s County.
