Orthopedic surgeon named chief of staff at Shriners Children’s Southern California

Pasadena, Calif.-based Shriners Children’s Southern California has appointed Ozgur Dede, MD, to serve as chief of staff.

Dr. Dede is an orthopedic surgeon with specialities in general pediatric orthopedics, neuromuscular disease, spine deformity and foot and hip deformity in newborns and children, according to a Jan. 20 news release from Shriners Children’s.

He served as associate medical director of Shriners Children’s Erie (Pa.) from 2016 to 2021 and as chief of staff starting in 2023. 

Dr. Dede is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America and Scoliosis Research Society.

The appointment was effective Jan. 2, the release said.
