In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Weber has pursued extensive shoulder research, publishing more than 120 papers and abstracts throughout his career. He has served as the ethics committee chair for multiple professional societies, including Arthroscopy Association of North America, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons. In 2010, he was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from AAOS.
Dr. Weber earned his medical degree at the Ann Arbor-based University of Michigan Medical School and did his orthopedic residency at the Sacramento-based UC Davis School of Medicine. He went on to complete two fellowships: an orthopedic fracture fellowship in Basel, Switzerland as the recipient of an Association for the Study of Internal Fixation award and an arthroscopy fellowship at the Richmond-based Orthopaedic Research of Virginia.
