She specializes in hand and wrist surgery, with a special research interest in the development and growth of the upper extremities. She has been published in various medical journals, including the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma and the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. She holds memberships with professional organizations like American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Florida Medical Association and Hillsborough County Medical Association.
Dr. Beatty earned her medical degree at the University of South Florida in Tampa. She went on to pursue two residency programs: a general surgery residency at the University of South Florida and a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Duke University in Durham, N.C. She completed her fellowship in hand surgery at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Ky.
