Dr. Field has special expertise in shoulder, elbow and wrist surgery. He has made more than 250 scientific presentations, both nationally and internationally. He has published three books on shoulder and elbow surgery, around 75 book chapters and more than 100 scientific articles. He is a part of American Orthopedic Association’s Future Leaders Program. He has previously served as an assistant team physician for the New York Mets.
After completing his medical degree at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, Dr. Field completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He completed a sports medicine and shoulder surgery fellowship at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. He also completed an AO International Orthopaedic Surgery Fellowship in Germany.
