He is the department head of the University of Arizona College of Medicine’s orthopedic surgery department. His research, which has been published in Orthopedics and Journal of Biomedical Materials Research Part A, investigates new orthopedic techniques, such as biomimetic scaffolds. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Ruth earned his medical degree at University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson. He went on to complete an orthopedic surgery residency at the Cleveland Clinic and an orthopedic traumatology fellowship at Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems’ Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
