Orthopedic surgeon leader to know: Dr. Ian Lin of Des Moines Orthopaedic Surgeons

Ian Lin, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Des Moines Orthopaedic Surgeons, a practice with four office locations and 17 satellite clinics throughout Iowa. His clinical interests include the treatment of hip, knee and sports-related conditions.

He practices at four facilities in Iowa, including Des Moines-based Orthopaedic Outpatient Surgery Center; Chariton-based Lucas County Health Center; Des Moines-based Iowa Lutheran Hospital and Knoxville Community Hospital. Outside of his practice he stays involved with the community by providing sideline medical coverage for the West Des Moines Soccer Club and coaching baseball for a local high school.

 

Dr. Lin earned his medical degree at University of Iowa in Iowa City. He went on to complete an orthopedic residency at Charlotte, N.C.-based Carolinas Medical Center. Today, he is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and holds memberships with Iowa Podiatric Medical Society and Iowa Orthopaedic Society, among other professional organizations.
