Orthopedic surgeon leader to know: Dr. Bradley Butkovich of Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists

Bradley T. Butkovich, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists, a practice with offices throughout Virginia. His clinical interests include arthroscopy and sports medicine.

In particular, Dr. Butkovich’s clinical interests include ACL reconstruction and graft augmentation procedures using innovative techniques, like platelet rich plasma therapy. His research involves using GPS technology for ideal graft placement during ACL surgery. Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Butkovich is a board member with the Virginia Orthopaedic Society and holds memberships with the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Association of North America.

 

Dr. Butkovich earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. He went on to complete an orthopedic surgery residency at Gainesville-based University of Florida and a sports medicine and arthroscopy fellowship at Richmond-based Orthopaedic Research of Virginia.
