Orthopedic MSO provides notice of data breach

Bethesda, Md.-based Aligned Orthopedic Partners has learned of a data security incident that may have impacted patient information. 

Through an investigation, the MSO discovered that an unknown actor gained unauthorized access to its email environment between Nov. 16 and Dec. 16, 2025, according to an April 17 notice from Aligned Orthopedic Partners. 

Information that may have been accessed includes names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or state identification numbers, Medicaid or Medicare numbers, health insurance information, patient account numbers and medical record numbers.

At this time, the organization is not aware of any misuse of patient information. 
Aligned Orthopedic Partners completes more than 200,000 patient visits and more than 15,000 surgeries annually, according to its website.
