Orthopedic medtech company partners with private equity

Private equity firm Partners Group is taking a significant minority stake in restor3d, an orthopedic medtech company, according to an Aug. 22 news release.

As part of the deal, restor3d raised $104 million, including $65 million of new equity from Partners Group and $39 million from existing shareholders. Proceeds will support product innovation, expand commercial growth and broaded patient access.

Partners Group is also joining restor3d’s board of directors.

Restor3d was founded in 2017 and uses artificial intelligence design software to develop personalized orthopedic implants.
