Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron adds upper-extremity specialist

Chad Amato, MD, a hand and upper-extremity surgeon, has joined Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron (Mich.).

Dr. Amato will begin seeing patients at the practice Oct. 1, according to a Sept. 9 news release from the organization. 

Dr. Amato has expertise in diagnosing and treating injuries and conditions of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder, using minimally invasive approaches and providing both surgical and nonsurgical care. 

He specializes in trigger finger release, tendon repair, hand and wrist fusions, joint injections and rotator cuff repair. 

Dr. Amato joins Orthopedic Associates from Loma Linda (Calif.) University, where he underwent a hand and upper extremity surgery fellowship.
