Medoptic uses 3D teleconferencing technology, a mobile scheduling app and VR to stream live 4K video with audio conferencing for real-time collaboration and communication.
In the first research initiative, 13 orthopedic surgeons participated in a live cadaveric demonstration with the VR system, according to a Nov. 11 news release.
Orthopaedic Foundation hopes the technology will facilitate surgical training and expand access to minimally invasive procedures.
