The award recognized Orthofix’s STIM onTrack that measures patient compliance data from their bone stimulation device, which is used after a fracture injury, lumbar or cervical fusion, according to a news release. It works with the CervicalStim, SpinalStim and PhysioStim bone growth therapy devices.
“Orthofix was the first company in this space to recognize the importance of patient engagement in their own recovery by utilizing our STIM onTrack app,” Jason Shallenberger, president of bone growth therapies, said in the release. “This allows patients to report a variety of information back to their physician such as pain scores and treatment compliance among other things.”
