OrthoAlign snags 50th patent

Orthopedic surgical navigation technology company OrthoAlign is set to add the 50th patent to its portfolio.

The company holds patents for systems and methods of a surgical orientation device used in knee replacements, balancing and hip applications, according to an April 27 news release. 

Based in Aliso Viejo, Calif., OrthoAlign creates handheld devices to help surgeons increase alignment accuracy in hip and knee replacement procedures.
