Orlando Orthopedic Institute earns ‘top commercial development’ award

The Orlando (Fla.) Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute has been awarded a Golden Brick Award by the Downtown Orlando Partnership for having the top commercial development in downtown Orlando in 2023, according to an April 29 press release sent to Becker’s.

Orlando Health opened the state’s first specialty hospital in August of 2023 on its downtown

campus. The 375,000-square-foot facility features 10 operating rooms, 75 smart patient rooms and a bioskills laboratory for research and education. The institute is the first of its kind in the region.

The Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute medical pavilion offers patients ultrafast imaging, a walk-in orthopedic clinic and large rehabilitation space. The 375,000-square-foot facility is the first one in the region.
