The simulator will give physicians real-time patient tracking data to guide patient treatment options and help get athletes back to competition, according to a July 30 press release sent to Becker’s.
“A lot of times, patients are a bit fearful to return to the activity that caused their injury,” Bryan Manarte, DPT, a physical therapist at Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute, said in the release. “This allows them to test their swing or kick with their therapist at their side. We can then use the data to see what we need to work on next.”
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
