1. Founded in 1955, the foundation has maintained its focus on funding research in orthopedics.
2. The foundation has provided more than $142 million in funding to more than 4,700 individuals and institutions over the last 60 years.
3. The 60-year anniversary celebration will culminate with special events at the 2016 AAOS Annual Meeting in Orlando, Fla.
