Novarad’s AR system used for bilateral sacroiliac joint fusion

Novarad’s VisAR augmented reality system was used in a sucessful bilateral sacroiliac joint fusion, the company said June 5.

Dr. Harmantya performed the procedure at Tangerang Hospital in Indonesia, according to a news release. VisAR was used to project a hologram of the patient’s anatomy and guided Dr. Harmantya with implant placement.

VisAR is cleared in the U.S. and Indonesia.
