Gastonia, N.C.-based Carolina Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center will join CaroMont Health, effective June 1.
As part of the transition, a new practice, CaroMont Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center, will be established within the CaroMont Medical Group network. All physicians at Carolina Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center will become employed providers of CaroMont Health and continue to see existing patients, according to a Jan. 30 system news release.
Clinical providers and staff members will be offered roles within the new practice or elsewhere across CaroMont Health based on skills, career goals and individual circumstances.
The systems foresee no disruption to care, treatment plans or physician relationships for patients during the transition.
The move builds on nearly 75 years of collaboration between the organizations and is intended to expand orthopedic and sports medicine services across the region.
