Highlands-Cashiers Hospital, based in Macon County, N.C., added James Post, MD, and John Sloboda, MD, to its medical staff, expanding its orthopedic services.
Dr. Post specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery, including carpal tunnel syndrome, rotator cuff injuries, fractures, arthritis and tendon disorders, according to an Aug. 7 company blog post by hospital CEO and CNO Tom Neal. Dr. Post has more than three decades of experience and performs endoscopic carpal tunnel release, advanced arthroscopic shoulder techniques and fracture fixation procedures.
Dr. Sloboda is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult hip and knee reconstruction. His practice includes primary hip and knee replacement, arthroscopy and complex revision procedures. He also performs muscle-sparing procedures, including quad-sparing knee replacements and direct anterior hip replacements.
