Albany, N.Y.-based St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates expanded primary and orthopedic care services with a renovated facility in Rensselaer, N.Y., according to a June 5 report by ABC affiliate WTEN.

The expansion adds walk-in and same-day primary care access for patients from three regional family health practices and includes a permanent satellite orthopedic clinic.

Orthopedic providers will be available on-site five days a week, the report said. The investment is intended to improve access to specialty care while reducing patient travel times and appointment wait times across the region.

St. Peter’s Health Partners is part of Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health, one of the nation’s largest health systems.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
